Total Variation Regularization Method for 3D Rotational Coronary Angiography
نویسندگان
چکیده
3-D rotational coronary angiography plays an important role in the field of diagnosis and treatment planning of coronary artery disease. Due to the cardiac motion, only limited number of projections can be used to reconstruct coronary arteries for each heart phase, which makes the reconstruction problem ill-posed. To reduce the undersampling artifacts, we apply an iterative method that makes use of total variation regularization. Some different reconstruction algorithms are compared and our method outperforms the others in the experiments.

Randomized study of the safety and clinical utility of rotational angiography versus standard angiography in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease.
This study evaluates the safety and clinical utility of rotational angiography in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease. High-speed rotational angiography is a newly available angiographic modality that gives a dynamic multiple-angle perspective of the coronary tree during a single contrast injection. We prospectively randomized 56 patients referred for diagnostic coronary angiography to eit...
متن کامل3D Reconstruction of Coronary Stents in Vivo Based on Motion Compensated X-Ray Angiograms
A new method is introduce for the three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of the coronary stents in-vivo utilizing two-dimensional projection images acquired during rotational angiography (RA). The method is based on the application of motion compensated techniques to the acquired angiograms resulting in a temporal snapshot of the stent within the cardiac cycle. For the first time results of 3D r...
متن کاملThree-dimensional coronary sinus reconstruction-guided left ventricular lead implantation based on intraprocedural rotational angiography: a novel imaging modality in cardiac resynchronization device implantation.
AIMS Rotational angiography (RA) of the coronary sinus (CS) provides more anatomical insights compared with static angiographies. We evaluated intraprocedural three-dimensional (3D) CS reconstruction (RC) based on RA, using syngo(®) DynaCT Cardiac to guide CS lead implantation. METHODS AND RESULTS In 24 patients with indication for cardiac resynchronization therapy, intraprocedural RA and 3D ...
متن کاملReconstruction of high-resolution fluorescence microscopy images based on axial tomography
For a reliable understanding of cellular processes, high resolution 3D images of the investigated cells are necessary. Unfortunately, the ability of fluorescence microscopes to image a cell in 3D is limited since the resolution along the optical axis is by a factor of two to three worse than the transversal resolution. Standard microscopy image deblurring algorithms like the Total Variation reg...
متن کاملRotational atherectomy via transradial access in the percutaneous treatment of chronic coronary total occlusion with rare complication of coronary guidewire transection
Introduction C total coronary occlusion remains one of the limitations of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, and few therapeutic devices are specifically designed to address this problem. Despite advances in device technology, the management of resistant, calcific lesions remains one of the greatest challenges in successful chronic total coronary occlusion intervention. Established...
